The record of moments in Taiwan and Finland
The world and life are mysterious wonders that could never be explained nor understood fully. Humans and all living creatures on Earth are merely passersby of a particular time and space. We can grasp an idea of the world and life as a mega web intertwined with infinite storylines of each individual who lived and passed. The existence of life and events can only be glimpsed and proven through documentation from a person’s perception.
Yang Ting-Jhen and Tien Yi-Chiao are Taiwanese designers who moved to Finland in 2016 for their master’s degree program at Aalto University. As industrial designers with a passion for photography, they have designed the exhibition stands to showcase their photography work about daily life and sceneries. Through this exhibition – Elämä, they invite viewers to stroll between Finnish and Taiwanese scenes through their lenses. They hope to evoke inspiration and dialogs between music, food, and art between the two cultures.
